LALIQUE GLASS FROGS BROOCH C 1920'S
Three plump frogs form the motif of this lovely pin by the famed Rene Lalique, from the 1920's. Using a technique borrowed from Georgian jewelry, Lalique used colored foil under the glass element to reflect light, and this gives his pieces beautiful, changing hues as light is reflected through the glass. The glass is mounted in metal and signed Lalique. These pieces are highly collectable, and the Frogs is a model much in demand.
