ANDRE ARBUS FRENCH PAIR OF1940'S SYCAMORE ARM CHAIRS
Andre Arbus was a widely acclaimed furniture designer, architect and sculptor working in Paris in the 1930 - 59's. His furniture was inspired by French Classicism, but Arbus re-interpreted this in very modern ways. This pair of chairs is a perfect example. They are beautifully executed in sycamore, and models of perfect form and proportion. For more about Arbus, have a look at our bio about him. The chairs date from the 1940's. They measure 38.5 inches high.
