SERGE MOUILLE "VRILLEE" TABLE
Serge Mouille was a very important figure in Paris during the 1960's - 70's. Mouille is known for his highly original lamps and wall fixtures, but this is the only piece of his furniture that we have seen. It is made from a flat sheet of steel, cut and then twisted by means of several strong men with big pliers. What is more amazing - the vrillee, or spiral, conforms almost exactly to that found in Nature - the Fibonacci Sequence, which gives this table a special harmony of design. 17 x 51.5 x 29 inches.
