ANDRE THURET VASE WITH RED INCLUSIONS
Andre Thuret was one of the most important and innovative French glass makers of the 20th century. Taking inspiration from the work of Maurice Marinot, he went on to develop the sinuous forms in heavy, clear glass with metallic and colored inclusions that make his pieces sculptural studies in light, color and form. His work spans Art Deco through the 1950's.
This is an especially beautiful piece, because of the intense red inclusions.
From the Primavera Gallery collection for fine and impportant 20th century French and Italian glass.
