RENE LALIQUE "GUEPES" GLASS PENDANT
Rene Lalique was justly famous for his amazing jewelry and beautiful glass. He has his own formula for particular brilliance and rich colors.
This beautiful pendant combines his talents as jewelry designer and glass maker. The motif is "Guepes", which is French for wasps. Lalique drew on images from nature for inspiration, and found beauty in plants, flowers, and insects.
The motif is a repeating pattern of wasps, but these have no sting - only the beauty of Lalique's interpretation. The glass is a rich blue, is in perfect condition, and it is on the original silk cord.
