AUGUSTE HERBIN "COMPOSITION" WATER COLOR ON PAPER
An explosion of color from the renowned French artist Auguste Herbin (1882-1960). Herbin's "compositions" are of abstracted landscapes and still lifes made vibrant by intense color and masterful composition, making him one of the most sought-after mid-century French artists. In the beginning of his career, Herbin shared a Paris studio with another artist interested in Cubism, Pablo Picasso.
