DAURAT FRENCH ART DECO HAMMERED PEWTER VASE
Maurice Daurat, associated with the French Art Deco movement, worked in his chosen material -- pewter -- and he was a master. Daurat was drawn to pewter because of its warm, flesh-like qualities. The objects that he created by hand are elegant masterpieces, and this vase is a great example. His pieces are rare and collectible.
