Peacocks were a favorite subject for Art Nouveau jewelry. This elegant 18k gold necklace has a gorgeous peacock in polychrome enamels accentuated by cabochon emeralds and sapphires, against a translucent enamel ground. The chain is enameled, and the elements are separated by pearls. Probably Belgian, c 1900.
