Description
Jean Dupas is arguably the most famous painter associated with French Art Deco (for more information, see our biography). His work is in great demand, especially paintings, and increasingly difficult to find. This beautiful oil is a study called La Danse, for a highly important larger painting entitled Les Pigeons Blancs, which has disappeared. Fortunately, some studies remain, and this beautiful little oil painting on panel is a gem. C 1920. It has the original frame (see additional images, which is also signed by Dupas.12 x 12 in.
