Description
Franz Pelzel, a gifted Austrian glass designer and engraver, worked with the firm of S.A.L.I.R in Murano, Italy, to produce very few wonderful and distinctive pieces. This is decorated with carved, sinuous lines and stylized figures. It was exhibited in 1957 at the Murano Glass Show held at the Osterreichische Museum Fur Angewandte Kunst in Vienna. It is illustrated on p 203 in “MURANO ‘900 by Franco Deboni.
