Description
Lalique was a wonderful draftsman, and did several studies for each of his jewels. They are beautiful, and give some insight into the process of designing a piece of jewelry. This is a complete drawing with color for a necklace.
A number of years ago, there was an auction in Paris of a great collection of Lalique’s drawings. They were snapped up by dealers, collectors and museums. We were fortunate to have acquired several, and I doubt that they will be coming onto the market again. Image is 10 x 8 in. It is nicely framed.
