Description
Marie Zimmermann was one of the most important American Arts and Crafts artists. She produced a very few fabulous pieces of jewelry, using an intricate combination of carved stones and enamels. A bracelet belonging to us was on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in the 20th Century Department, and they have a necklace by her on permanent display in the 20th Century Department.
The stones are lapis, amethyst and moonstone – Unfortunately, the image does not capture the beautiful but elusive color of the moonstones. They are very fine “blue flash” moonstones
