Originally made for a Dr Krosnick, editor of the publication of the Medical Society of New Jersey, it was on the cover of their Journal in May, 1981.  was an Editor’s desk,, but also used as a lectern for the speakers at Nakashima’s retrospective at the American Craft Museum entitled FULL CIRCLE. Dr. Krosnick referred to the desk as his ” best friend”.

A fire in Dr. Kasnik’s house consumed all of the furniture, including this piece. Dr Krasnik begged Nakashima to make him another, and this was the last piece of furniture that Nakashima made before his death.
