Since time immemorial, people have been both fascinated and repelled by snakes (see our blog – Snakey Things). Serpent rings were popular in England in the late 19th century.. This is a beautiful and unusual serpent ring in 18k gold, with the serpent’s heads, each set with a cabochon ruby, joined by a diamond-set band. English, c 1880. Size 6 3/4 – can be easily re-sized.
