Jean Despres was one of the most important jewelers of the French Art Deco movement, and his pieces from the 1920’s into the 1930’s are his most striking and important pieces. This brooch, in silver, gold and onyx is a great example of the simplicity of his best designs. The early pieces are quite rare.
